Baccarat is known as the best and easiest game to play in a casino. However, the player, who chooses it, must know Baccarat rules and odds to win well, so that he will have more victories. In reality, Baccarat game rules are extremely easy: even a beginner will remember everything from the start.
Baccarat rules for dummies
The main Baccarat rule is to get 9 points (sometimes, 8) with 2 or 3 cards. Therefore, “picture” cards and 10 are not taken into account. For instance, if a person gets a Queen and 7, they have 7 points.
Baccarat can hold up to 14 players. Each one is ranked from number 1 to 15, but number 13 is not included (at least, in real land casinos). There are also three separate boxes in front of each number. Following rules of Baccarat, players have to follow the dealer.
The game is generally played with 6, 8, or 9 cards. After each round, the cards are replaced. As for Mini Baccarat rules, the table is smaller and can accommodate up to 7 people (the same moment can be seen online either). The goal is to get a score of 9 or higher where possible. Gamblers deal with other players and with a croupier. When a player gives chips, only the croupier deals the cards, after which the player will see if he won or not.
Value of the hand and the points
The ability to score 0 or 9 points depends on the total number of points. Here are some of the card values in an online casino:
- According to classic and Mini Baccarat rules, Aces are worth 1 point;
- King, Queen, Jack and the 10 have no points;
- Cards from 2 to 9 have points corresponding to their nominal value. It should be noted, however, that the addition of your points with this online casino is completely automatic.
Those, who check any Baccarat rules chart, see that 10 is always subtracted from the total number of points if it is 10 or more. For example, if a player has 9 and 6, there are 15 in total. In baccarat, only the unit number is taken. This means that the player has 5 points. In simple terms, tens are worth nothing, because only the last digit is taken into account.
The course of the game
First, the player must put his token in the box in front of his numbers before he can play. He will not receive dealt cards unless the token has been deposited. In the first step, each player receives two cards from the dealer. After that, the dealer, following Baccarat drawing rules always shares the other two cards, and in an online game, the drawing of cards is automatic.
Players, who score points close to 9 (or ideally 9), win. Unless all players do not have 9 points, the game goes through the following stages: those with 6 or 7 points stay with their game, while those with less than 5 will receive two additional cards to help them increase the value of these initial cards.
